An Evanescence layout. I've been in an Evanescence mood lately, their concert was awesome. Okay anyway, for a long long time I have always wanted to do a layout in a simular concept to their cd layout or a cd layout. I like their new album The Open Door, it's very dark and the art has this nostalgic theme, which I love theme and I think I am a nostalgic kind of person. Not in a bad way.

Well I didn't know how to layout it out, and recently I have been getting a lot of inspiration for works (which is a good thing) and I stubbled across this Evanescence fan site (Evanescence E-Team Portugal) which I got the idea and concept for this from that. I have made this fairly different to that though, such as the slight background colour behind the thorn bushes, the set up and using an image, etc.

I have a lot of great Evanescence Graphics to use, I have pngs that I got off the Evanescence Reference of the thorn bush design. I used birds in this too (you can see three of them faintly) because I thought it was a neat idea since the official evanescence website has random moving birds on some pages.

I decided to call it "Lacrymosa" because that's one of my favourite songs, it's also a cover of a Mozart opera, and because there is that history to the song, it suited style of the layout very well.

The navigation is up the top which is edited on the index.html page, and the content goes in here on the main.html page.

       Editing is simple for people with basic HTML skills, you can edit this in Notepad, Front Page and anyother HTML editing programs you have, that will work.
The navigation is at the top above this frame. To edit it you edit it through the 'index.html' file. To edit this content you do so through the 'main.html' file.

If you don't know any HTML basics, it is suggested to find an online tutorial. Some great HTML tutorial sites are; Funky Chickens & W3 Schools

       It's best to leave the credits on your site.
